Doctoral School Psychology Internship

and a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Center (APPIC)
The Jordan School District Doctoral School Psychology Internship is a 2000 hour full-time supervised internship experience (Full Accreditation Effective 08/12/2024) which provides opportunities for practice and supervision of the major professional competencies required of a health service psychologist working in the schools as a school psychologist. Doctoral psychology interns also participate at the Jordan Family Education Center (JFEC). The JFEC is sponsored by Jordan School District and provides short-term child-centered family counseling and parenting classes for parents and students.
- Aim #1: To promote the integration of research and practice in school psychology service delivery.
- Aim #2: To provide opportunities to address complex academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health problems at the individual, small group, and systems levels.
- Aim #3: To promote and facilitate culturally competent service delivery.
- Aim #4: To promote/facilitate the ethical/legal/professional practice of school psychology through continuing professional growth and development and opportunities for further contributions to the field.
